Anode Rod Replacement - Step By Step Guide

The CORRO-PROTEC Powered Anode Rod design makes the product very easy and safe to install on all type of hot water tank.

1.

Prepare

  • Turn off electrical power supply
  • Turn off water supply
  • Remove the water pressure from the tank

2.

Replace

  • Remove the magnesium anode
  • Install Teflon tape on the lower portion of the Corro-Protec
  • Insert and screw the Corro-Protec

3.

Plug It

  • Install the ground on the hot water tank
  • Connect the Corro-Protec Anode on the rectifier
  • Connect the rectifier

Prepare

  • Turn off electrical power supply
  • Turn off water supply
  • Remove the water pressure from the tank

2.

Replace

  • Unscrew the hot water outlet pipe
  • Put a Tee adapter and a 90 degree elbow fitting on the water heater outlet
  • Remove the safety valve from its original location and install it on the top of the adapter and connect the outlet to the other end.

3.

Install

  • Install Teflon tape on the lower portion of the Corro-Protec
  • Insert and screw the Corro-Protec in the hole in which the safety valve was.

4.

Plug It

  • Install the ground on the hot water tank
  • Connect the Corro-Protec Anode on the rectifier
  • Connect the rectifier
