What Is the Main Difference Between a Corro-Protec Anode and the Traditional Magnesium Anode Rod?

The traditional magnesium anode sacrifices itself to protect the hot water tank until there is no more magnesium left. If you are using a sacrificial anode, it is important that you change your anode to always have magnesium to “sacrifice” which can be between 3 and 18 months depending on the water hardness.
