Where is Anode Rod on an Electric Water Heater?

Published and updated

Our response

The location of your anode rod in your electric water heater depends on the model of your tank. Refer to your water heater’s user guide for more information. In most cases, the sacrificial magnesium or aluminum anode is located on top of the tank.
